Life’s a party, dress for it!

The festive season is just around the corner but festivities have already begun! It’s the time of the year when Christmas parties are being organised, farewell dinners and drinks start happening and there’s a general vibe of holiday cheer in the year as the festive and New Year season gets closer! Whether you’re planning an outfit for your next family BBQ event, work drinks, Christmas party or even looking for some outfitting advice for your holiday, we’ve got the styling and fashion advice to ensure you’re the best dressed at the party.

Family BBQ Gathering

Family BBQ events are great fun! The summer breeze, laughter and great conversation is shared over some delightful food and wine. These family events are all about finding the perfect balance in your look by maintaining casual comfort and style at the same time. When done well, your outfit will be the epitome of casual chic and effortless style!  Chambray and denim pieces, like a chambray shirt and some essential denim shorts, are great picks for outfitting. The classic denim and blue tones are easy to pair with fab floral prints and bright pops of colour. You’ll be keeping your look casual and comfy with some shorts or three quarter pants and then keeping your look elegant and stylish with a printed or chambray shirt. For a touch of elegance a beaded necklace will complete the look nicely.

Dress it up!

A dress is always the perfect go-to piece for a festive celebration! Whether it’s a cap sleeve, sleeveless or short sleeve, dresses can be dressed up or down to suit your occasion.

Hanky style hemlines are very trendy this season and give a gorgeous shape to the dress. With their jagged hemline, they’re the perfect length to allow you to show off your favourite wedges or heels you’ve teamed with the dress.

Lace trimming along the edges of dresses is also a fantastic feature as it not only adds classic style to your look, but great texture. When completing your look with a lace trimmed dress, try and find a bolero or cardigan the same colour as the lace to compliment it or even try and match your accessories to it.

Embellished detailing is one of our favourite trends this season as it adds that extra touch of sparkle! On dresses, embellished detailing is just wonderful and ensures your dress is ready for your next Christmas party or celebration. To keep the look elegant, try to minimise your jewellery to ensure you keep the sparkle sophisticated. If you wanted to add an extra touch of sparkle, a glitter clutch bag would work well as it has a subtle shimmer and won’t be too loud.

The Printed Pant

Printed pants are very on trend this season and we are loving the effortless style they bring to a look! With their subtle prints and patterns, they’re easy to pair with a top or shirt for your next dinner with the girls or even a work dinner. For a classic look, team them with a basic top or shirt to allow the feature to stand alone, or try mixing it up and teaming it with an embellished or lace top to add an extra stylish feature. With their sophisticated style, they’re also great for desk to dinner outfits. Just change your flats or sandals for a chic pair of wedges or heels, add some drop earrings and apply some stunning lipstick, and you can smoothly transition from a desk to dinner outfit.
